One of my favourite parts of being a mosaic artist in Cape Town. This allows me the opportunity to get look into the lives of so many different types of individuals. This grounds me, because I feel it’s so important to have a big variety of different people in our lives and give back to the community at large. This mitigates us from living in the usual ‘Cape Town social circles’, something I really despise. Training individuals on mosaic art has always had a space in my life.

Community work allows me to transfer my mosaic art skills which I have learnt over the years to local community members. This is thoroughly rewarding. I am passionate about using mosaic art as a tool for transformation and social uplift, particularly education. I would like to further train community members and teach them this art form for their own expression or to provide livelihood.

If you have knowledge, let others light their candles in it.”
